What makes your inn different from other places to stay in Ogunquit?
We're a small, adults-only B&B in Ogunquit designed for a quieter, more personal stay. Guests choose us for the setting, the pace, and the experience—gourmet breakfast, afternoon happy hour, and a relaxed environment rather than a busy hotel atmosphere, all within easy walking distance of Ogunquit's main attractions.
Do you have access to the Marginal Way?
Yes. Our property has a direct path to the Marginal Way, making it easy to walk along the coast right from the inn. You can walk to and from Perkins Cove via the Marginal Way or along Shore Road, depending on your preference.
Is breakfast included with your stay?
Breakfast is included for Inn rooms. Studios (with kitchenettes) do not include breakfast by default, but it can be added for $20 per person, per day. Breakfast is a chef-prepared, set menu served to all guests at the same time (not à la carte), with two courses that change daily. We can accommodate dietary restrictions with advance notice.
Where are you located in Ogunquit? Are you close to the beach, downtown, and Perkins Cove?
We're ideally located between downtown Ogunquit and Perkins Cove, so you can enjoy everything Ogunquit has to offer without needing to drive. The beach, shops, restaurants, and Ogunquit Playhouse are all within walking distance, and you can easily walk to Perkins Cove via the Marginal Way or Shore Road.
What time is check-in and check-out?
Check-in is between 3:00 PM and 6:00 PM. Check-out is at 11:00 AM.
What if I arrive after 6:00 PM?
Let us know in advance. If we're not on-site, we'll leave a welcome packet so you can check in easily.
Can I arrive early?
Yes. Early arrivals are welcome—please let us know in advance and we'll do our best to have your room ready. If not, you're welcome to park and explore Ogunquit on foot or enjoy the property until it is.
Is parking available?
Yes, complimentary on-site parking is included. Once you're here, most guests find they don't need to use their car.
Do you offer WiFi?
Yes, complimentary WiFi is available throughout the property.
What deposit is required to book a room?
A 50% deposit is required at the time the reservation is made.  
The remaining 50% due 14 days prior to arrival and will be automatically charged to the credit card on file.
Deposits non-refundable if cancelled less than 14 days prior to arrival. No Exceptions. 
Cancellations within 14 days of arrival are non refundable. No Exceptions.
What is your cancellation policy?
  • A 50% deposit is required at the time the reservation is made. The remaining balance will be automatically charged 14 days prior to arrival.
  • Cancellation more than 14 days prior to arrival: the 50% deposit will be refunded, less a $50 cancellation fee. Guests may also choose to convert the remaining balance, after the $50 fee, into a gift certificate for future use.
  • Cancellation within 14 days of arrival: the full reservation amount becomes non-refundable. No refund, credit, or gift certificate will be issued
  • Reservations made more than 6 months in advance are non-refundable but may be rescheduled based on availability.

Third-Party Bookings:
The policies listed above do not apply to reservations made through third-party booking platforms. Please refer to the cancellation policy provided directly by the third-party at the time of booking. All modifications, cancellations, and refund requests must be handled through the original booking platform. If eligible, refunds will be issued according to the third-party's cancellation terms. The Trellis House/Blue Shutters Inn staff are unable to modify, cancel, or issue refunds for third-party reservations.  
 
What amenities are included during my stay?
A complimentary glass of bubbly on arrival, daily breakfast (excluding studios), afternoon happy hour with light hors d'oeuvres, coffee and tea available in the lobby throughout the day, WiFi, and beach chairs and towels.
Is your property adults-only?
Yes, we are an adults-only inn.
Do you allow pets?
No. The property is pet-free, including emotional support animals.
How many guests can stay in a room?
Rooms are designed for double occupancy unless otherwise noted.
Are additional guests allowed?
No. Rooms are limited to their stated occupancy, and we do not offer rollaway beds.
Do all rooms have fireplaces?
Some do. Fireplaces may be seasonal—feel free to check with us before booking.
Do you accommodate dietary restrictions?
Yes, with advance notice.
Is there a minimum stay?
Yes, typically a 2-night minimum.
